Tony Kanaan, Brazilian race car driver, was named Grand Marshal of this year's Great Grove Bed Race at a press conference this morning, held at Grove Isle and Spa.
Dignitaries, including Mayor Tomas Regalado, District Commissioner Marc Sarnoff and City Manager Carlos Migoya were present.
The Great Grove Bed Race hits the streets of Coconut Grove September 5.
Pit Bull, (at right) the local Rapper, now known as "Pit Stop" for the Bed Race was also present, along with Matt Becherer, president of Homestead-Miami Speedway.
The Mayor was funny, when asked by Daisy Lewis, head of the Bed Race, whether he would like to be pushed around in a bed, his reply was, "I have no problem being pushed around, as Commissioner, I've been pushed around all these years.
