Peter Max Gallery preparing for Grand Opening
You don't usually see horses on McFarlane Road unless it's the mounted police, but yesterday, a large, colorful lifesize horse (a piece of art) went down the street, carried into a new gallery. It was a new installation by artist Marcie Ziv (shown below), going into the new Peter Max Gallery, at 2996 McFarlane Road.
The Peter Max Gallery, right next to the Britto Gallery (both owned by Les Roberts, shown above at left, helping to carry the horse) will be having its Grand Opening Celebration on Saturday, October 10 from about 7 pm to midnight.
On that night, they are going to have search lights, red carpet and lots of food, drinks and live music. Les is using words like "gala" and "bash."
His goal is to bring even more art to the Grove. He has his eye on the storefront next to the Peter Max Gallery and may make it a trifecta. Who knows, Andy Warhol? Maybe, but you can actually see Andy Warhol's work right now at the Peter Max Gallery, it has it's own little space in back.
