Help stop the massacre of the trees in the Grove

The HEP board meeting is today at 3 pm, regarding the TreeWatch appeal of the knocking down of the trees on Florida Avenue. The issue is scheduled to be heard at about 4:30.

Here is the appeal. As you can see, it comes up with some suggestions about how to improve and make the brick sidewalks safe and new without harming the trees. Check it out and if you can, stop by City Hall (3500 Pan American Drive) to help save the trees. Just having your body there will TreeWatch's cause.

It's a matter of saving the trees now before they are knocked down, because we don't want the same thing to happen like the Tree Massacre on 27th Avenue, where people spoke up after the fact. If this project is permitted to happen, you may regret seeing the massacre of trees on Florida Avenue and the rest of Coconut Grove and it will be too late to stop it.
