Bitterballs and bangers are just part of the mix

The Grove Spot (3324 Virginia Street) has added some new bar snacks to enjoy from 4 pm until the kitchen closes.

New items include a Hard Boiled Egg ($1), Green Peppercorn Pate on Sesame Crisp bread ($7.25); Grove Spot Bitterballs (6 fried beef ragout balls, $6), Fried Zuccini sticks with blue cheese dressing ($4.75) and there are Vegetable Eggrolls, their popular breakfast bangers, Ahi Tuna bites and more.

And Tuesday's Spaghetti Western is Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, the 1988 British crime film directed and written by Guy Ritchie.

Then on Thursday is the Neighborhood Pro-Am Jam a laid-back local musicians' showcase and gathering. It's a venue for singers and players to stand up and showcase their original work, sit-in and show off their favorite cover tunes, or both. Pre-Registration for Artists starts @ 7:00. Public Disturbance @ 8:00.
