Celebrate the Commodore's 159th birthday
Saturday, April 3 is the Commodore's 159th birthday party, that's right, Commodore Ralph Middleton Munroe, a grove pioneer will have a party thrown at his own house by the Barnacle Society.
The party is on the lawn behind the Commodore's 1891 house, The Barnacle (3485 Main Highway). Included with admission is a barbecue dinner, live music by Solar Dogs and of course a birthday cake.
Admission is $30 for members and $35 for non-members; it's $40 at the door; and for children under 10, it's only $5. Gates open at 6:00 pm.
