Lots of art at George's in the Grove; good and bad

art2

Was at George's in the Grove (3144 Commodore Plaza) for lunch the other day and I noticed something interesting. Among all the art he has on the walls for sale, there is this huge painting of the Dalai Lama, as you remember, there was a benefit there to raise money for the Tibetan Children's Village, in fact, all the money from the sale of this painting goes to the cause.

And then I noticed at the entrance, these: artistic stylings of Georges, himself. On the back of the menu, which is a newspaper, there is a drawing of Georges and people draw on it and decorate it and they hang them up. So it's a funny contrast to see the Dali Lama and Georges in the same sort of art installation.

I am working on a Coconut Grove Grapevine special with George's, maybe free dessert, or something like that, it will be a Facebook only special for fans of our Facebook page here. Just giving you a head's up, because this special, and other specials, will only be on Facebook.
