We are just hoping that we can do half as well with the Bed Race Pajama Pub Crawl in September as the Alfest Bar Crawl did last night. About 1000 people signed up to drink their way through the Grove! All in the name of charity.
Proceeds went to Camp Boggy Creek near Orlando. A great place for kids with cancer.
It all started at the Sandbar Grill and then extended to most of the other bars around the Grove.
A few new places that popped up in the Grove this year replaced some bars that dropped out and the participants had plenty of places to party.
Their favorites included Sandbar, the home of Alfest, and Cabana One. Of course the participants enjoyed Barracuda, Crazy Pianos, Mr. Moe's and the rest, too.
The totals are not all in yet, but if 1000 people signed up at $25.00 a head, you do the math. Not a bad haul for one night of drinking!
