Rudeness, aside, I would like to get a report to see how much money we have actually spent on lighting repairs. I know the whole point is to bring in FPL to take on all the expenses, being told that it costs $8000.00 per light to replace them if someone hits them with a car and knocks them down, makes total sense to me. But I want to know how often this happens? Is it once every three years or maybe just once in the whole history of the gas lights or maybe once a week?
I know this happened recently and a jerk with roid rage coming from the gym did this. He should be responsible for the replacement costs. Not the City.
I'll report what I find. Many of us are not happy with the change from quaint to ugly in the name of saving a few bucks. We pay taxes here and businesses pay into the BID to support these lights. Taxpayers and BID members would like a vote on this massacre of quaintness.
