Each gallery was responsible for assigning one guide to help solicit art lovers and collectors on the night of the Walk. The idea came from the BID and has proved to be a step in the right direction.
Although there were only three guides working the Gallery Walk each one covered all of the ten participating galleries. The galleries that were represented by guides consisted of Artway 66, Rodez Art and Grove House Artists.
Along with the guides, local restaurants, Calamari’s, LULU, and Peacock Garden Cafe all got in on the act by offering free wine and champagne to anyone participating in the walk.
AC Fine Art Gallery sold a piece and Cristina Chacon Gallery also sold a Rafael Espitia original. Artway 66, sold two pieces by Joseph C. Grant Jr. Things are looking up for art in the Grove. Art seems to be making a comeback. So, next Gallery Walk- just follow the guides.
