Sell quality and they will come
This group of people were out yesterday waiting to buy barbecue for lunch from a vendor set up at the Mayfair Promenade. We find this interesting because this was never the scene when the Green Market was there each Wednesday. Could it be the quality of the food? We think so.
The Green Market vendors sold the worst quality products week after week, while we supported them because we support the Grove, we ended up throwing more out than we ate each week and finally gave up, which was the case with most people. The Green Market died on the vine because of quality. People in the Grove want quality and don't mind paying for it. This line at the sole barbecue vendor yesterday proves it.
If the Green Market does return in the Fall, it behooves them to bring quality food if they want a line up of customers like this.
