First Saturday Coconut Grove Art Stroll is this weekend

eggart
This Saturday is the First Saturday Art Stroll in Coconut Grove, as usual, all Grove galleries will be showing off their new work and there will be wine and cheese and artists.

The Windish-Hunt Gallery will be offering a lot of new things: "The Everything and Anything Blue" art is on display, so is the 10" x 10" canvas project and there are is a lot of easter egg art by Chris Fowler.

Three dozen of her Fauxbergé eggs, many swarming with insects are on display. That's not one of the insects, that's me holding one of the eggs in the egg patch. We may paint my head like an Easter egg next week though.

Something new is the plaza at the Shops of Mayfair, where the antique market is every month (mid-month). There will be over 30 artists set up between 7 and 11 pm.

Johnny Valdes, artist and curator at ArtWay66 and Top of the Walk at CocoWalk is bringing this new event to an area that should add some more life to the quiet side of the Grove.

Now art will extend from Mayfair, down Grand Avenue onto Main Highway and Commodore Plaza.
