Berkapalooza Sunday Pool Party
There is a last minute party for locals and the Cabana One faithful on Sunday, August 2.
The staff is hosting a themed pool party. The owner if flying in from Chicago, so it will be Chicago-themed. Please join Ron and the entire staff of Cabana One for pool games, food specials, $4 beers, specially priced cocktails, and $30 basil lemonade and mojito pitchers!

Ronnie Brooks, "Campo Deluxe" perform
Ronnie Brooks and "Campo Deluxe" will be performing at Cocowalk tomorrow, August 2. The free show is from 2 to 6 pm. They were the band that went on right before the fireworks on 4th of July at Peacock Park. They have a "jazzy, funky, surfer rock" sort of sound.
They have played Cocowalk usually once or twice a month for the last four years. Ronnie has been living and playing drums and singing in the Grove since 1971.
Along with Ronnie on drums and vocals are Lucian Williams on guitar and vocals and Joe Paulofkin on base guitar.

Lots going on in the Grove tonight
The Summer Rendezvous block party ends its run tonight on Commodore Plaza. After five weeks, it will retire for a bit. Hopefully it will be back full time in the fall, maybe sooner. Here's Spidey (Shaun) last week on Commodore Plaza. Nil Lara and Ryan Stone are performing free.
At the other end of Grand Avenue, is the Art Stroll on the Promenade at Mayfair, where you can enjoy art, free food and liquor samples, as well as hear music. Martial artist Punong Guro Ken DeJesus will feature a fusion of Japanese Odori dance, martial art choreography and weaponry.
And in the same promenade is the Mayfair Antiques and Collectibles Market, with a bunch of new dealers, who were there bright and early, I saw them entering myself.
The "Pure Imgaination" art exhibit is at the Mutiny. And you can start off by enjoying the "after party" at the Crawl for Cancer.
Plus there are all the great one-of-a-kind restaurants in Coconut Grove, many have specials for this special Saturday night. Sit out at a table on the street on Commodore Plaza or Main Highway, or high up at CocoWalk, try the new wine list at Focaccia and enjoy the first night of August Grove-style with the natives!
Spider-man will easily shuttle you back and forth from place to place, you can try it all! What are you waiting for?

French Trash at Le P'tit Paris? Yes!
Le P'tit Paris (3015 Commodore Plaza) has a tattoo artists on hand who does temporary henna tattoos, she was there last night and will be there again today for Saturday brunch and dinner and tomorrow for Sunday brunch.
Also, tonight at the block party, jewelry will be sold at Le P'tit Paris from the popular French Trash.Then on Sunday, at Brunch, there will be a caricaturist doing funny drawings for only $15.00. Bring the family by for portraits! Here are a couple.Try the Eggs Benedict served on croissants with potatos ($12) or the French Onion Soup ($7).
Their lunch menu is large and the dinner menu even larger, my favorite is the Norwegian Poached Salmon Salad ($15); also try the Mussels with fries ($19) and the Pan Seared Tuna Steak with steamed rice and Provencal tomato ($24).
